Over a fifteen-year career with Harcourt and later Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, I contributed to the development and evolution of three flagship K–6 literacy programs. Working collaboratively with authors, curriculum specialists, designers, developers, and production teams, I helped bring instructional content from manuscript through print and digital publication while supporting curriculum development, standards alignment, accessibility, and digital learning initiatives.

Projects included copyediting mathematics assessments in Learnosity, proofreading science curriculum in Contentful, reviewing digital assessments within client testing platforms, and supporting publication readiness through editorial review and sensitivity review of teacher and student materials.

Enhanced the accessibility, usability, and digital learning experience of K–12 instructional programs by developing WCAG-compliant alternative text, creating metadata and meaningful descriptions for online resources, improving lesson navigation, supporting digital publishing workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen the user experience for teachers and students.
